Late last year, ShapeCUT showed its support for the community by sponsoring Play for a Cure’s inaugural sportsmen’s dinner. Nerves were high in the lead-up, as they always are when anyone does anything for the first time! But the efforts paid off.Held on 26th November 2015, the event featured several sporting legends, an auction of coveted objects and bucket loads of entertainment. Dobbo was on board as MC, while Gorden Tallis (Play For a Cure’s ambassador), Stacey Porter, Romelda Aiken, Anthony Milford and Simon Black all provided their company for the evening. ShapeCUT helped out by gifting unique, cut steel P4AC key rings to every single attendee. As expert steel profilers, we were stoked to put our skills towards such a good cause.
Now, we’re excited to announce that the second annual sportsmen’s dinner will take place on 26th November 2016. This time, it’ll be held at the beautiful Victoria Park Golf Complex. There’ll be pre-dinner drinks at 6pm, before dinner starts rolling out at 7pm. Like last time, you can expect delicious food, drinks, music and some special guests – yet to be announced.
Established in 2010 by Leigh Martyn, Play For A Cure Foundation raises funds for various cancer agencies. The money goes towards efforts to find a cure for cancer and towards helping cancer patients and their families.
