CNC Brake Press Operator

We are currently looking for a CNC Brake Press Operator for an immediate start to join our team.

ShapeCUT is Queensland’s largest privately owned metal processing firm with 14 modern machines, the largest stock of steel plates on the market, and a custom-built job processing system all backed by a dedicated and experienced team.

We have been delivering quality profile cutting and metal processing to steel fabricators and manufacturers servicing the transport, mining and construction industries for over 20 years.

Essential requirements:

• Good communication skills with a can-do attitude
• Ability to work unsupervised
• High level of commitment
• Reliable, self-motivated, organised and able to execute task plan to meet daily/weekly objectives within the quality requirements of the projects
• Able to read and interpret drawings and understand the importance of quality and uniformity of product
• Must be able to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working to drawing tolerances as specified
• Operation & setting of CNC Brake Press
• General maintenance & up-keep of equipment
• Attention to detail essential
• A permanent full-time role is available to the right candidate following a successful trial period
